Marvin Fisher, LEED AP, FSAME

Marvin has over 40 years of experience in the AEC industry, with 16 years in the private sector, after serving his first 25 years in the United States Air Force. During his service, he provided executive leadership and management to units with up to 10,000 military and civilian members responsible for engineering services, contracting, security forces, human resources and communications for installation operations. When not in command positions, his expertise was in planning and programming. He served as the Director of Strategic Plans and Programs for the Office of the Civil Engineer responsible for developing and advocating for a $12B annual budget supporting 167 installations world-wide. For the past 9 years Mr. Fisher has served as the Vice President for Strategy and Sales, and Chief Strategy Officer for the Farnsworth Group where he implemented numerous business process improvements and strategic initiatives to drive growth, improve internal standards and metrics, and reduce operating costs while increasing profitability. 

Mr. Fisher has served on several senior leadership teams, foundation boards and military boards. His numerous military decorations include the Legion of Merit and was twice awarded the Bronze Star for his leadership while engaged in combat operations with a hostile enemy. He has been an active member of the Society of American and Military Engineers (SAME) for over 30 years, where he recently served as the 99th National President. He received his BS in Civil Engineering (United States Air Force Academy), Master’s in Engineering Management (Air Force Institute of Technology), and Master’s in National Resource Strategy (National Defense University).
